Jimmy Abnave Kennel


Specialized in Labrador retrievers, Abnave Kennel started in 2009 by proprietor Akshay Abnave in Pune. “I have been a dog lover since childhood and so has my family for the past few generations. My love for Labradors grew even more after my very own Lab Jimmy who was bought into the house in 2007.


In 2009, I landed up mating her and wished I could mate her with a champion/imported one but could not lay my hands on one. Hence I was inspired enough to train by self-educating myself through internet, book & videos. Thus, I purchased the love of my life Dojo with a top bloodline and jumped into the dog world and with lot of hard work and bits of luck; Dojo became a champion in the year 2012. Then it was Gracy’s turn in 2013 & both Dojo and Gracy earned me the fame and name that was indeed due I became the vice president of the goa Labrador chapter. We at Abnave believe in pureness and quality and live by the standard. Hence we breed & sell Quality Labrador Puppies." says Akshay Abnave (Proprietor). Our Labrador Puppies are bred with love & care.

Stud Terms

  • Our Stud is a guaranteed Litter Producer.
  • The stud fee is payable at the time of the breeding. If the bitch fails to produce a litter, 1 rebreed will be given within 2 years. If the original stud is no longer available for service, the bitch owner may choose any other stud dog, with an equal stud fee, owned by Abnave Kennel. If the original bitch is no longer available to fulfill the breeding, another bitch may be substituted. There will be no refunds of stud fees.
  • The stud fee is to be paid in cash advance
  • The owner of the bitch will be responsible for any expenses pertaining to shipping dogs. These expenses include shipping kits for all the kits used, FedEx charges, etc. These expenses are payable at the time of the breeding
  • After a litter, the bitch's owner is supposed to get the litter registered under KCI on his/her expenses. A photocopy of the Stud Papers would be made available for registration.
  • Accurate timing utilizing PROGESTERONE levels is the most critical factor in the success of breeding along with Cycho Test. Guessing and using prior breeding times for a bitch is a waste of everyone's time and money. Please contact a good reproduction veterinarian for progesterone level & Cycho testing.
  • Once you have puppies on the ground, if you would like your litter listed on the litter page on our website, send an e-mail with your name, contact info, whelp date, and what you have available
  • As the stud owner, I retain the right to refuse a breeding at any time.
